Turkey Bowl 3 - Game Summary
posted Thursday September 29th, 2005 by Commissioner Marce
November 28, 2002 - Turkey Bowl 2K2 was hyped up to be the best Turkey Bowl ever, and despite the lack of action on the field there was plenty to cheer about on the sidelines. The Bowl welcomed its biggest crowd ever, regurgitaion was a common theme at this years game. Also, the Turkey Bowl received sponsorship from Natural Light Beer.

On the field the game was full of firsts. For the first time in history a shut-out was recorded. Also, the winning team failed to score 10 points for the first time as the scoring had to be adjusted to 6. On a day that saw the thermometer dip below 25 degrees, it was defense that dominated Turkey Bowl III.

The teams played for well over an hour before a touchdown was scored. The scoreboard was first lit when THC QB Tim Dougherty found Sergeant Slaughter in the front corner of the end zone. Slaughter scored 2 touchdowns on the day.

MVP Paul Middleton
Another stellar performance was turned in by Paul Middleton.

Middleton also scored twice on the day, and was a force in the defensive back field; along with a broken nose he collected 3 interceptions. The Ohio State standout was awarded M.V.P. for his efforts. His second touchdown was a hook and ladder that he took in for the score, the TD put the game out of reach.

Po Folk defensive line tandem of Graff and Marcelli
THC's Sean Graff showed why he is a true member of the TFL. After suffering an injury Graff reluctantly sat out the second half and used his free time to smoke a joint...way to go Sean.

The Po Folk defense kept the team in the game for a short while, as the defensive line tandem of Matt Graff and Matt Marcelli hassled Tim Doc all game. The THC quarterback was still able to complete most of his passes with defenders draped across his back, as THC prevailed 6 - 0.
