- The TFL Draft will take place Thanksgiving morning at 9:30 am.
- Kickoff is at 9:45 am. The end of the first half is 10:45 am, followed by a 15 minute half time. The end of regulation is 12:00 pm.
- Players must participate in at least one (1) half of football to be added to the official record books.
- If the game is tied at the end of regulation the game will enter into NCAA overtime format.
- The game will be played on a field 180ft long by 115ft wide. For full measurements check here.
- Teams must have one, two or three linemen; depending on the size of the teams.
- Teams are not allowed to have more than three receivers on the field at the same time.
- Penalties must be agreed upon by the offense and defense, any substantial argument will result in the replay of the down.
- Each touchdown is worth 1 point.
- The ball must be snapped every play, either thru the center's legs or around his back.
- A defense is allowed to rush the number of men equal to the number of linemen provided by the offense. Any rush using more than that number is considered a blitz.
- All ball carriers are downed by rough touch.
- There is only one blitz allowed during a set of four downs.
- If the offense lines up with men in the backfield besides the quarterback, the defense is allowed to blitz without using their designated blitz.
- The quarterback must stay in the pocket, he is not permitted to cross the line of scrimage.
- The offense is allowed one rushing play during a set of four downs.
- Once the quarterback hands the ball off he is considered an ineligible receiver and he is prohibited from catching a pass. Any play that contains a quarterback throw back will result in a loss of down.
- Once a hand off has been made the play is considered a run, no matter what the outcome.
- A receiver is required to get one foot in bounds for a completion (NCAA).
- A player is not ruled down until he is touched down by a defender (NFL).
- A first down is awarded when a team completes three passes during a set of four downs. Passes must be forward.
- A team can get an unlimited amount of first downs during a drive.
- Kickoffs must be thrown down field.
- Punts must be punted down field.
- During a punt the defense may only rush the number of men equal to the number of offensive linemen, NOT INCLUDING the center. A blitz may not be used on a punt.
- There is no such thing as roughing in Turkey Bowl football.
