| Posted By: Derek 11/20/08 at 03:32 PM | After finding out yesterday that my paperwork has finally gone through, I regret to inform everyone that I cannot participate in this year's Turkeybowl. I have spoken with my recruiter and my physical is scheduled next Friday, after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I cannot take a risk of getting injured before taking my physical for enlistment. I have already informed my captain Tim Doc and will break the news to my other teammates that show up at practice today. I will try to help them out as much as I can at these remaining few practices, but I will be watching from the stands Thanksgiving. I am terribly sorry to put my team in this position and jeopardize my future participation in this wonderful tradition. I know you guys understand that my country is first. Thank you everyone and I will talk to you later. |
